Blake Baggett powered off the gate in moto 1 and found himself just outside the top five early on. He kept the throttle wide open, and the Scott-supported rider powered his way through the field to take 6th place at the finish.

Blake was lighting fast off the gate in moto 2, as his FMF exhaust helped him power around the first turn inside the top three. After sliding back a few spots early on, Blake put in consistent laps and worked his way back up to take the checkered flag in 5th. Combined with his 6th-place finish in moto 1, Blake earned 5th place overall and continues to hold 5th in the championship points.

“It was an ok day,” said Baggett. “The track was tough out there. We’ll use the break to regroup and come out swinging at Unadilla.”

Benny Bloss continued to show his speed, as he put down the 5th-fastest qualifying time of the day. Moto 1 started with him outside the top 10 at the first turn. After sliding back a few spots, he continued to work his way forward, making a few power passes to take the checkered flag in 7th place.

A solid start in moto 2 propelled Benny into the top 10 early on but made a mistake trying to pass for 6th and fell. The Motorex-supported rider kept pushing throughout the moto to finish in 10th place. His 7-10 score earned him 7th overall for the day, and 7th in the championship points.

“I felt good out there today,” said Bloss. “I am happy with my ride, as my speed was there all day and I rode consistently. We’ll take this break to recharge and come back gunning for a top-five finish at Unadilla.”

After finishing 17th in the first moto, Dakota Alix started the second moto deep in the field. The Regina Chains-supported rider rode well, pushing his way inside the top 20 to take the checkered flag in 19th. His 17-19 score earned him 19th overall for the day.

Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS now takes a week off before heading to Unadilla MX in New Berlin, NY, for round 10 of the 2018 Pro Motocross Nationals.
