Blake Baggett took to the Washougal track and sent it during morning practice to post the 5th fastest time of the day.

Moto 1 had Blake working from outside the top ten, as he finished the first lap in 13th position. It didn’t take long for Blake to start working his way forward, and he charged his way to inside the top ten by mid-race. After a hard-fought battle, Blake finished the moto in 7th place.

Blake had a better start in the second moto, as his Hinson clutch put the power to the ground, allowing him to round the first turn inside the top three. He kept the pace of the front pack, rode smart and took the checkered flag in 4th place. His 7-4 ride earned him 5th place overall. He is still in charge of 2nd place in the championship points standings.

“Today was a tough one,” said Blake. “The Washougal hardpack and shadows are unforgiving and was difficult to push with my thumb. I’m looking forward to the week break and I’m excited for what’s coming up. We are still in this championship fight, and these last three tracks of the season are my favorites.”

Dakota Alix: 10th Place Overall (450MX Class)

Washougal was a highlight weekend for Dakota Alix, as he put in two solid motos to break into the top ten for the first time this season.

The gate dropped for moto 1, and Dakota rounded the first turn inside the top twenty. Dakota steadily worked his way forward, slicing through the field to a 12th-place finish at the checkered flag.

He would come back in moto 2 with another solid start. Not letting off, his Seat Concepts seat kept him planted as he battled his way forward to another 12th-place finish. His 12-12 score rewarded him with 10th place overall, his first 450MX top ten overall of his career.

Benny Bloss: 14th Place Overall (450MX Class)

Benny Bloss worked overtime in moto 1. After going down in the first turn, Benny picked himself up and proceeded to charge his way through the field. He didn’t let off and worked his way to 17th by the end of the moto.

Moto 2 started strong for Benny, as he shot out of the gate using the power of his FMF Racing exhaust to round the first turn inside the top fifteen. Benny kept on the gas and worked his way to just outside the top ten. At the checkered flag, he held down 11th place. His 17-11 score earned him 14th overall.

Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS will have a week off before heading to Unadilla MX in New Berlin, NY, for round 10 of the 2017 Pro Motocross Championship.
