After taking the week break to allow his thumb to recover, Blake Baggett came out in morning practice ready to take on the Millville sand whoops. He didn’t let off the gas, posting the 3rd fastest lap of the day in qualifying.

Blake launched out of the gate for moto 1, letting his Dunlop tires dig into the deep sand and rounding the first turn inside the top ten. Blake rode smooth, keeping the pace consistent to finish the moto in 6th place.

A better start in moto 2 had Blake up at the front of the field. He used his start advantage as he put pressure on the leader for the first half of the race. Blake ran the fastest lap of the moto and claimed 2nd place by the end. His 6-2 ride earned 4th place overall while still holding down 2nd place in the championship point standings.

“It was a good day,” said Blake. “I felt comfortable out there, and I was able to push in the second moto. We are still in this championship, and I am ready to get back on the podium at Washougal.”

Dakota Alix: 13th Place Overall (450MX Class)

He had worked his way up to 12th position by mid moto. He was pushing forward until going down with ten minutes to go. He would get back up and finished the moto in 15th position.

Energized, Dakota launched out of the gate in moto 2, rounding the first turn just outside the top ten. He continued to charge, keeping the pace of the top ten. He finished just outside the top ten in 12th place. His 15-12 score earned 13th overall.

Benny rounded the first turn inside the top twenty and set his sights forward. Making passes, he finished the first moto in 14th.

His second moto started strong as Benny worked his way up just outside the top ten. He went down in the large Spring Creek rollers as he was making a move for 10th place. He got back up and finished the moto in 24th. His 14-24 score earned him 17th place overall.
